The Bakery is owned by Ben Dean. His passion and love for baking began when he was a kitchen porter in his first job at a hotel. He qualified as a chef after leaving school and went on to work for numerous hotels and restaurants but it was when he was working at The Loughpool Restaurant that he was encouraged to pursue his passion and thus the Bakery was born!
Everything in the bakery is made with organic ingredients and hand crafted by Ben. The bakery really prides itself on looking for sustainability, from compostable packaging to local produce for the products. As a one man team in the bakery every product gets the individual touch.
Ben will continue his strong commercial sales and will aim to build the retail side of business, offering collection-based sales from the pub. He will also be looking at more markets and events that he can offer an array of new exciting pastries and sweets.
Further projects that the bakery will be looking into is offering bread and pastry courses for anyone and any skill level, to come and learn how the bakery operates, and of course make some lovely products to take home.
